The ProDentim Ingredients List, Line by Line and in Order
The ProDentim ingredients list has seven named lines: three probiotic strains, then inulin, malic acid, tricalcium phosphate and peppermint. The sales page gives "3.5 billion" for the strains together and no amount for the blend. The label images show no Supplement Facts panel, so nothing here can be checked against one.

What is on the ProDentim ingredients list?
The ProDentim ingredients list has seven names. Three are live bacteria, and four sit in a group the sales page calls a "Proprietary Blend of 4 Plants and Minerals" (ProDentim sales page).
The strains come first: Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus reuteri and B. lactis BL-04. Then come inulin, malic acid, tricalcium phosphate and peppermint.
That order is the sales page's, not a panel's. A true Supplement Facts panel sorts lines by weight inside each group, and none is printed in the images.
What does each of the seven lines do?
Each line has a general role, which is not the same as a proven effect in this tablet. The table below gives the place, the role and what research looked at.
| Line | Type | Place | What research looked at | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lactobacillus paracasei | Probiotic strains | 1 of 7 | Different L. paracasei strains in small oral and gut trials; the product names the species only (Volgenant 2022, L. paracasei lozenges) (Hill et al. 2014, ISAPP consensus) (Liu 2025, L. reuteri oral health review) | Strain-specific; thin for teeth and gums |
| Lactobacillus reuteri | Probiotic strains | 2 of 7 | Named strains (DSM 17938, ATCC PTA 5289) in small gingivitis and plaque trials; the product names the species only (Schlagenhauf 2016, L. reuteri lozenges) (Benavides-Reyes 2025, probiotics & perio) (Hill et al. 2014, ISAPP consensus) (Liu 2025, L. reuteri oral health review) | Small trials; strain-specific |
| B. lactis BL-04 | Probiotic strains | 3 of 7 | BL-04 in adult trials of respiratory illness and immune markers, mostly with a partner strain; not teeth (West 2014, B. lactis Bl-04 & URTI) (Cochrane 2022, probiotics & URTI) | Studied for respiratory and immune outcomes, not for teeth |
| Inulin | Prebiotic fibre | 4 of 7 | Prebiotic fibre trials in the gut; no tablet-sized dose studied for teeth (WebMD, Inulin) | Gut evidence; nothing for teeth |
| Malic acid | Fruit acid | 5 of 7 | Food acids and enamel erosion; a strawberry-and-baking-soda whitening study (ADA MouthHealthy, Dietary Acids) (Kwon 2015, strawberry DIY whitening) | No whitening shown; acids can erode enamel |
| Tricalcium Phosphate | Mineral | 6 of 7 | Calcium intakes (NIH); tricalcium phosphate in toothpaste, which acts on the tooth surface (NIH ODS, Calcium (HP)) (Hamba 2020, fTCP toothpaste in vitro) | Topical evidence only; swallowed it is calcium |
| Peppermint | Herb | 7 of 7 | Peppermint oil for stomach symptoms; no study of peppermint in a tablet for teeth or gums (NCCIH, Peppermint Oil) (WebMD, Peppermint Oil) | Not studied for teeth or gums |
Read the roles as descriptions of the ingredient in general. They are not outcomes of this product.
The strains are living bacteria, so their role depends on strain, and effects are strain-specific (Hill et al. 2014, ISAPP consensus). Inulin is a fibre that feeds bacteria. Malic acid is a fruit acid, tricalcium phosphate is a calcium salt and peppermint is a herb.
Together they make a short list. Short is not the same as complete, so check the tub for anything the sales page left out.
What is missing from the ProDentim ingredients list?
The amounts are missing, along with the strain codes for two of three strains and the other-ingredients line. Without those, a reader cannot compare the tablet with a trial.
ISAPP says a good probiotic label gives genus, species and strain for each strain, plus the count at the end of shelf life (ISAPP, Decoding a Probiotic Label). Only BL-04 carries a strain code here.
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Names of the seven lines | Given on the sales page |
| Total probiotic count | "3.5 billion", no unit or date basis |
| Amount for each strain | Not published |
| Strain codes for paracasei and reuteri | Not published |
| Amounts for the four blend items | Not published |
| Other ingredients (binders, sweeteners) | Not published |
Why does a proprietary blend hide the amounts?
A proprietary blend lists its parts but keeps each amount private. It lets a seller name an ingredient without saying whether the dose matches what a study used.
Peppermint is a useful example. It can worsen heartburn in some people (WebMD, Peppermint Oil), yet no amount is printed, so you cannot weigh that risk. Tricalcium phosphate is a calcium salt, and calcium has its own intake limits (NIH ODS, Calcium (HP)).
How can you check the list on your own tub?
Read the tub itself before the first tablet. The images we saw show only the label front, so your tub may print more.
- Find the Supplement Facts panel and the other-ingredients line
- Look for strain codes next to each species
- Check the amounts against the sales page's seven names
- Read any allergen or warning text, and ask a pharmacist about medicines
Our ProDentim ingredients page goes deeper on each line, and the ProDentim label page lists what the images do and do not show.
FAQ01
ProDentim ingredients list: quick answers
How many ingredients are in ProDentim?
Seven are named on the sales page: three probiotic strains and four blend items. Any further ingredients, such as binders or flavoring, are not listed in the images we have. Check the other-ingredients line on your tub.
Is there a hidden ingredient in the ProDentim list?
We cannot say. Nothing in the images or sales page shows an unlisted item, but the missing other-ingredients line leaves a gap. Only the panel on your own tub can close it.
Are the ProDentim ingredients listed by amount?
That cannot be told. The sales page gives names without amounts, and no panel is in the images to show the order by weight. The order we use is simply the sales page's.
Does the list name the strain codes for all three probiotics?
No. Only B. lactis BL-04 has a code. The other two strains are named by species only, which makes it harder to match them to any study.
