ProDentim Ingredients Vegan? Why the Answer Is Not Yet Known

Quick answer

The ProDentim ingredients vegan question cannot be answered from the images we have. They print no other-ingredients line and no vegan statement, and the only related brand badge says vegetarian. The sales page names the strains and a four-item blend, but not what the tablet is made of or coated with.

Are the ProDentim ingredients vegan?

We do not know, and no one can tell from the label images, which show no vegan statement.

On the front, the tub shows "Advanced Oral Probiotics" and "30 Soft Tablets". Nothing else is printed in the images we can read. The back, where a vegan mark or an ingredient list would sit, is not in the images.

A fair answer today is "unconfirmed". If you avoid animal products, wait for the panel on your own tub, or ask the seller in writing before you buy. See Not printed in the images or on the sales page (no excipient, sweetener, flavor or allergen statement).

What ingredients does ProDentim name?

The sales page names seven lines: three probiotic strains and a "Proprietary Blend of 4 Plants and Minerals" (ProDentim sales page).

The strains are Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus reuteri and B. lactis BL-04. The blend is inulin, malic acid, tricalcium phosphate and peppermint. No amounts are printed.

Most of those names are not animal products in themselves. But a soft tablet needs more than its active names. It needs a base, a binder and often a coating, and none of that is listed in what we have.

Probiotic strains are also grown on a food-like medium, and the source of that medium is rarely printed on a consumer label. Our ProDentim ingredients page covers each named line.

What does the vegetarian badge mean?

The vegetarian badge is a seller claim, and it is not the same as vegan.

Vegetarian products can contain milk, eggs or honey. Vegan products contain none of them. So a vegetarian badge leaves the vegan question open even if it is accurate.

No certifier, lab or audit is named for the badge. Treat it as the seller's description. The same goes for the other brand badges, which describe and do not endorse.

Vegetarian is not vegan

A badge that says vegetarian does not rule out dairy, egg or honey. Only an ingredient list, or a written answer from the seller, can settle it.

What should you ask before you decide?

Ask five short questions and ask for the answers in writing.

The coating or glazeSome glazes come from animals
The tablet baseThe tablet is soft, so ask what holds it together
The culture medium for the strainsSome media use milk

The seller's desk is reached on +1 (302) 200-3480 with your questions ready. We cannot answer for the brand, because this site is a retailer and not the maker.

What if the answer is not clear?

If the answer is unclear, wait. A vegan diet is a firm choice, and an unclear label is not a reason to guess.

The sales page does offer a 60-day money-back promise, but returning a product you opened for a diet reason is a poor plan. Settle the question first.

Whatever you decide, keep brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, clean between your teeth daily and see your dentist regularly. Keep taking any prescribed medicine as directed. The supplement facts page lists what is missing from the images.

FAQ01

Vegan and vegetarian questions

Does the dissolvable candy wording mean ProDentim has sugar or gelatin?

Not necessarily. The sales page calls it a "dissolvable candy" but prints no sweetener or gelling agent. Candy-style tablets can use many bases, so the wording alone tells you neither sugar nor gelatin is present.

Is vegetarian on the ProDentim badge enough for a vegan diet?

No. Vegetarian products may contain milk, eggs or honey, and vegan ones may not. The badge is also an uncertified seller claim, so for a vegan diet wait for a full ingredient list.

Who can answer whether ProDentim is made without animal ingredients?

Only the maker, and none is named. The retailer desk can pass on a question in writing, but we hold no ingredient sheet. Ask for the other-ingredients line and any vegan certificate before you buy.
