What Is ProDentim Made Of? Seven Lines, No Amounts

Quick answer

What is ProDentim made of? The sales page names seven lines: three probiotic strains, plus inulin, malic acid, tricalcium phosphate and peppermint in a blend. It gives "3.5 billion" for the strains together and no amount for the blend. No other-ingredients line is printed.

A styled photo of powders. The ProDentim tablet does not look like this, and the picture shows no amounts.

What is ProDentim made of, line by line?

Seven named lines. Three are live bacteria and four sit in a blend of plants and minerals.

The strains are Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus reuteri and B. lactis BL-04. The blend is called a "Proprietary Blend of 4 Plants and Minerals". It holds inulin, malic acid, tricalcium phosphate and peppermint (ProDentim sales page).

That is the whole named list. The tub front we reviewed names none of them. The names come from the sales page only, which is why we say "the sales page says" each time.

The table shows what each line is and what research has looked at.

The seven lines the ProDentim sales page names: three strains and a four-item blend. The label images print no Supplement Facts panel, so no amount is known for any line (ProDentim sales page).

What is missing from the ProDentim ingredient list?

Three things: amounts for the blend, an amount per strain and an other-ingredients line.

The strains share one figure, "3.5 billion". A single total cannot show how much of each strain is inside. Strain-specific effects mean the split matters (Hill et al. 2014, ISAPP consensus).

The blend has no amounts at all. Inulin, malic acid, tricalcium phosphate and peppermint could each be a trace or a large share, and a proprietary blend label does not say which.

The other-ingredients line is where binders, sweeteners and flavors usually appear. The images show none, so sugar, vegan, gluten and allergen questions cannot be checked here.

Read your own panel

If you avoid an allergen, animal products or sugar, read the panel on your own tub before the first tablet. The images we reviewed cannot answer these questions.

What does each blend item do in a tablet?

In general, each has a known everyday role, but we do not know the role it plays in this tablet.

Inulin is a plant fiber that some bacteria feed on (WebMD, Inulin). Tricalcium phosphate is a calcium salt, also used in toothpaste and as a food additive (Hamba 2020, fTCP toothpaste in vitro). Malic acid is a fruit acid, and dietary acids can soften enamel for a short time (ADA MouthHealthy, Dietary Acids). Peppermint is a herb with a strong taste, and it can worsen heartburn in some people (WebMD, Peppermint Oil).

The sales page attaches one-line benefits to these, such as "Supports tooth health". We quote those lines and do not repeat them as fact. They describe each item in general, not this product at its unknown dose.

Does a named list tell you what a tablet does?

No. A list of names says what is in the tablet, not how much, how well made or how it works for you.

No trial of the finished tablet was found. Studies of single ingredients used other doses, and often other forms. The safe reading is that these seven names are a starting point for questions, not answers.

If you still want to try it, the sales page lists 3 bottles at $69 each and 6 bottles at $49 each, with a 60-day money-back promise. See the ProDentim price page for the full breakdown.

Who should check the ingredients with a clinician first?

People on antibiotics, people with weak immunity, anyone pregnant or nursing, and anyone with an allergy should ask first.

NIH and NCCIH advise a clinician check for probiotics in these cases (NCCIH, Probiotics: Usefulness & Safety). Live bacteria cause rare but serious infections in a few people.

An ingredient list, once you find one, is no stand-in for dental habits. Use fluoride toothpaste twice a day, clean between teeth each day and keep your dentist visits. Prescribed medicine stays as directed. See the ProDentim ingredients page for each line in detail.

FAQ01

ProDentim ingredient questions

Is ProDentim a proprietary blend?

Part of it. The sales page calls the four non-strain items a "Proprietary Blend of 4 Plants and Minerals" and prints no amounts. The three strains share one total figure instead.

Does ProDentim contain dairy, gluten or nuts?

The images do not say. No panel, allergen statement or other-ingredients line is printed in them. Brand badges are the seller's claims, so check the panel on your own tub if you avoid any of these.

Where do the ProDentim ingredients come from?

No source is stated. The sales page names the items but not their origin, supplier or grade, and no lab or certifier is named. Ask the order desk if source matters to you.

Is the 3.5 billion figure per tablet or per tub?

The sales page does not spell it out. It reads as a total for the three strains, so ask the order desk whether it means per tablet or per tub before you rely on it.
